818 | Tasmania

200 acres. Saved.
An old-growth ancient Myrtle rainforest in North-East Tasmania, with an active private logging permit (meaning it could be completely decimated) has been added to the vault. Nestled within the traditional lands of the Trawlwulwuy people of Palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal), and saved for generations to come. Sitting at 818m elevation the views stretch from coast to coast. It’s a small but magical start.

818 | Plan
Corporate and individual donations to pay down the debt borrowed
Legally revoke logging permit, followed by ceremonial burning of the active logging permit
Establish plaque of all who contributed to save it
Create a low-impact ‘exploring’ track to share with members, contributors, and the public
Establish access to property for getting the elders onto country to teach us all a thing or two.
More details to come
